Favourite NYC Videos

It's pretty hard to make a good video about NYC. These two come very close to representing this city in it's entity. Best when you're homesick, I swear.

Intro of HBO's How To Make It In America

Dizzee Rascal vs. Duck Sauce / Nirvana

and one live performance. Smells like teen spirit.

Summer Job

Insane...

Model of a Modern Major Art Maker

You guys know Roxy Paine, sculptor/installation artist based in Brookyln who had this huge welded steel tree-like object on the MET rooftop garden last summer. Coincidentally I found this video which is apparently a student's presentation for some kind of art class.

The first video is the song only (the funny part). The second one is the whole presentation (that is not accessible from all countries outside the US) giving you actual insight into Paine's work.

I just wish somebody actually showed up to class and showed this as his final artist presentation.

Ken Block

Who said Need for Speed was unrealistic?

Cardboard Furniture

At first I wasn't sure if this guy was speaking English or not. Anyway, this is an awesome furniture project.

Bassnectar remixes Nirvana

When I saw this video I got really upset that I wasn't there when this party was going down. How brilliant is this?

5 second movies

A movie that is no longer than 5 seconds? You can take it pretty far.

Video Mapping

Video Mapping is the shit. These videos capture animated projections that on the actual buildings.

My homie Miki showed me this one which is in the Old Town Square in Prague.

Russians can't dance

Here's the video of a Russian birthday party. My favorite is definitely the guy in the denim jacket.

But no, the Big Story is that Russians are notorious for bad dancing. This is a compilation of clips of Boris Yeltsin, former Russian prime minister, which includes a shot of him dancing on a stage.

Nobody Beats The Drum - Grindin'

OK, this is one of the most amazing music videos I've ever seen. It's all stop motion animation.

Now, check out the making of.
